As there are many different textures of hair, we also have various body shapes. We sometimes try to hide our physical flaws rather than accentuating those very features that make us all unique. The first step in the process involves figuring out your body shape.

Your bust, waist and hips are equally proportioned. If you have a slimmer figure, you are sometimes referred to as having a pencil shape.

Similar to Rectangular figures, but your waist is accentuated.

Wider shoulders and/or bust with slim hips and a small buttocks.

Your shoulders are more narrow and bust is smaller  with wider hips and/or bigger buttocks.

Shopping Made Easy

In my online perusing, I found an online store that makes shopping by body type a piece of cake! Shabby Apple offers us ladies ease in finding dresses (and bathing suits) that are just right for your body type.  Some of the dresses reminds me of the ’60. Shabby Apple takes us back to the fundamentals of wearing dresses. No additions necessary….besides accessories.  Very lady-like.

You can search using the left-side navigation or you can click shop by body type and answer 3 simple questions:

1. What part of your body to you gain most of your weight?
2. Which body part do you love the most?
3. What word best describes your body?

Once I answered these questions,  my body type was displayed (‘pencil’ for all those wondering) and a link to dresses perfect for my figure was displayed. Simple!

The dresses are reasonably priced and FREE SHIPPING is also available using HOLIDAY (ya’ll know I never shop w/o a coupon!)

Anyway, here are a few pieces  that were suggested for my body shape and a few others. I’m really feeling the green dress!
