in hair care, splurge or save

As gas prices increase, my pockets are definitely getting tighter and I won’t completely disregard the fact that I am a Frugal McDugal aka El Cheapo! I often will look for products that are similar to more expensive products, but are much cheaper. Here goes…

Deep Conditioner

Mixed Chicks  ($15)                                                         Mixed Silk  ($6)

Knot Today  ($12)                                  Protective Mist Bodifier  ($7)

Sulfate-Free Shampoo

Wen Tea Tree Cleansing Conditioner  ($32)                Hair One Tea Tree Cleanser  ($12)

Morrocan Oil  ($35)                                                                               Argan Oil  ($9)

Check out my reviews of some pricey products in comparison to cheaper and more budget friendly dupes in Splurge or Save!

I am an El Cheapo Grande too, man it cost so much to even live! These are awesome curly hair products, Argan Oil is the real thing. I use it everyday, love it love it love it 🙂

Paul Mitchell The Conditioner and the generic version sold by Sally’s Beauty Supply. The generic keeps my chemically treated hair very soft and manageable, despite my having very hard water in my home. Also, it makes my hair color look better and shinier.
