Big Curly Hair + Vintage Indonesian Batik

in fashion, my hair, style inspiration

Over 20 years ago this romper belonged to my mom.  She worked in a boutique on Tortola (the island we are from) called Bonkers. In this store they sold many Indonesian Batik wraps by Java Wraps.  Java Wraps apparel is now a rare find and can usually be found in vintage shops.  This romper has been in my possession for the last 10 years and it is holding up quite well.  Its a really unique piece and I’m hesitant to let go of it. Now, especially with the batik craze that’s developing, I don’t think this will be leaving my closet anytime soon.

Hair: Twist n’ Curl using Curls Souffle (Tutorial)

Belt: Vintage from my mom’s closet.

Thanks 🙂 ohh about the earrings….there was a big fiasco about the blogger who sold them. The store is now closed. Google “moptop maven jewelry”, that should give you a little background and a whole bunch of interesting forum threads to read.
