UPDATE: This manicure has been entered into a nail competition. Please VOTE for me HERE!

I have a new goal for my blog, which is to let things around me inspire my posts.  This post is the first fruits of that effort.

I have a love for all things animal print  (in moderation of course). This design was inspired from a vase I have in the display area of my kitchen. I purchased this vase on clearance at Ross for under $10 last summer.

Step 1:
Gathered colors.  I choose Snow Me White, Who Needs A Prince?, and Nail Art Black.

Step 2:
Applied a base coat to protect nails from discoloration.

Step 3:
Applied two coats of Snow Me White and one coat of Who Needs A Prince? I really dislike stark white polish so I used Who Needs A Prince? because it provides a cotton candy effect to the white polish. You really can’t tell in pictures, but in person, the Who Needs A Prince? provides a pinkish shimmer.

Step 4:
I followed using the Nail Art polish to create the lines which are considered the zebra stripes.  Notice the brush of this polish is quite thin. This allows for easy and neat creation of the lines.  This portion took me no longer than 3 minutes for both hands. Really quick and simple.  I started on the outer portion of the nail and stroked the brush towards the center.

Step 5:
I finished with Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.
