Those who know me, know I resent the assumption some people make about women with natural hair and our style being that of something totally afro-centric.  Understand, I don’t think there is anything wrong with anyone showing their love for the Motherland and its fashions, but honestly, African Batik (which is considered very modern these days) is about as far as I will go with my afro-centrism.  BUT these earrings definitely caught my eye!

Perusing the internet I found Naturally Chic‘s online store.  The pieces were so unique, tastefully designed with just the right amount of pizazz and little conservative, but conversation starters they are!

My favorite piece is the Circle Rhythm of Life earrings.  Check out the site and tell me which do you favor?

India, I would start on the campus of my local community college….they usually offer great courses in metalsmithing; there, you will have all the tools and instruction you need without the costly set-up expense. You will also have tons of opportunity for practice and to become familar with the metals and techniques that you like best.
