It’s Lenting season! For those of you who have chosen to give up alcohol, this mocktail is for you! And if you’re not a drinker, this is for you too!

Of course I’m and island gal and if a drink is going to be concoted by moi, it’s definitely going to have a tropical twist! Passion fruit isn’t grown in the U.S. and I’ve never seen the fresh imported fruit in grocery stores here in the states. Even the frozen nectar is a bit difficult to find, but I happen to shop in grocery stores where people of blended nations congregate.

INGREDIENTS
Frozen Passion Fruit Nectar
Frozen Mango Nectar
Fresh Strawberries
Water
Sugar (to taste)

This is an easy blend. The ratio of each fruit is absolutely your preference. I happen to prefer passion fruit so I used just a bit more of that than any other. Once everything is blended I added water until it reached a thin consistency, then sugar to taste, poured it over ice and walah!

I haven’t looked back since I got my Ninja blender [+] a couple weeks ago. I’m not sure how my kitchen has gone so long without a blender, much less one that works great!  They are so convenient and handy, especially the single serve cups.

What do you know about passion fruit?

Looks yummy! I can’t believe you didn’t have a blender. I really want a juicer now.
