How long have you been natural?
I first started my transition about five years ago. I got my very first and very last relaxer in May and had to quickly start transitioning back because it damaged my hair and scalp so much. I was just thirteen at the time and really didn’t know that much about what was happening besides the fact that all my hair looked horrible. I have been completely natural for a little over three years now.

What made you decide to go natural?
I decided to go natural because my scalp suffered serve damaged and the relaxer had thinned my hair out quite a bit.
What is your current relationship with your hair?
It’s taken longer than it should but I am finally at peace with my mane! Those curls, that frizz, yep, I love it all and wouldn’t change it for all the riches in the world!
What is the trick or technique are you most thankful for finding out about?
What I am most thankful for discovering is the twist out! I have different curl patterns and lots of shrinkage, so the twist out allows my hair to look very cared for and professional, which is lovely because I work in a conservative workplace.
What specific products can you not live without?
I recently discovered the Curly Girl Life Organics line and I am in love! Their berry pomade is to die for and provides ridiculous amounts of both moisture and hold!
What advice would you give to someone considering going natural?
Do it!! Your hair will thank you!
Where can we find out more info about you and your hair?

Do you twist on dry or wet hair? I rarely blow out and twist on dry hair. I like your hair without the relaxer because its fuller.
