I’ve stumbled across a new gem, Cassandra Beccai. She has a very informative YouTube channel , minus all the bells and whistles, she cuts straight to the point — love it!

As a protective style, she demonstrates the installation of loc extensions using marley hair [+].  Her locs begins with two-strand twisted marley hair. You will see below how she wraps each twist, cares for and then later styles the locs.

Did she twist her hair first then add the Marley hair? and how is this good as a protective style?

Looks like she twisted with marley hair and then wrapped with additional marley hair.

I’m sure they last as long as you would like, considering your roots are growing in the process.

If you can make a braid with the hair you currently have on your head, that is enough hair to add extensions.
